NEW hair color + tips to keep your hair healthy!

NEW hair by: The Carriage House Day Spa

hello little baby loves!
:)

How's everyones week going by?
I've been one little busy bride to be! This wedding planning is going beautiful, I can't wait to write an entire blog post just on that!

Now, let's talk about hair.

Recently, the amazing Spa I work with colored my hair & chopped off 3 inches - 3 inches to me seems like so much but it was definitely time to trim off the dead ends!

I'm in LOVE with the shade they picked for me, Connie, the famous hair dresser has been doing hair for years and I trust her with all my heart to work on my hair. She is that hairdresser that won't just give you anything you want - she will always give you her opinion and if she thinks your hair isn't healthy enough to hold that much color she will let you know. During past summer breaks I have always had highlights in my hair and this was the first summer I didn't go that direction! Instead, we decided to go with a solid gorgeous brown! You can actually see hints from my pervious highlights I had in my hair - when the sun hits my hair you can see it more and I really like it.

How long should you wait for your next hair cut/trim ?

Long hair If your hair is long and you want to keep it long, it is very important to get regular haircuts in order to keep your long hair healthy looking. Long hair should be trimmed at least every 8 to 12 weeks. If you notice more breakage or split ends, it could be cut as frequently as every 6 to 8 weeks.

Medium hairThe same rules generally apply for medium length hair as they do for long hair. Regular haircuts at 6 to 12 week intervals are very important to keep your hair healthy in appearance.

Short Hairespecially if you want to keep your short style, will need a haircut more frequently in order to remain fresh.

After getting rid of those 3 inches, my hair feels a lot more healthier! My split ends weren't pretty at all so it was time for those to go! My hair grows pretty fast since I take Biotin vitamins everyday! If you don't take Biotin, I highly recommend it - it's great for hair growth & your nails!
Also, always try to use a hair product in your hair every night, there's million out there and one of my favorites is 'It's a 10' if you follow me on InstaGram and FB you have seen me rave about that product a million times! lol.

Do you have any hair tips you'd like to share on my page? Leave me your comments down below and I will add them to my next blog post ~

Until next time beauties.

Love.

Ultimate Body Wrap REVIEW!

Hello beauties!

I'm SO excited for todays blog post ! I had an awesome opportunity to try out the famous 'wraps' aka: Ultimate Body Applicator! My cousin, Ashley Balboa is a distributor for "It Works" & recently contacted me to see if I would be interested in trying a wrap out, my first instinct was YES!

But to be completely honest with you - I have always always always been very skeptical about these wraps! I have seen these on YouTube, on ads online, and on commercials and I always thought "No way!" Well, when the opportunity came my way to finally put it to the test I yes with an open mind!

So, a few days later..this little baby was in my mailbox!

Let me share with you all a bit of information that my cousin shared with me!

- This is NOT a product to help you lose weight...
- This is a 45 min applicator that you can apply basically anywhere on your body - arms, tummy, legs, boobs (what!), back... to hep you tighten and firm.
- You can purchase one wrap alone (from my cousin and her site) OR you can buy a package which contains 4 wraps you can use throughout the month.
-You instantly lose inches (my review will be down below) and within the next 72 hours you still see results (I'm officially a believer now!)

-Expect "ultimate" results with this amazing 45-minute body Applicator! The Ultimate Body Applicator is a non-woven cloth wrap that has been infused with a powerful, botanically-based formula to deliver maximum tightening, toning, and firming results where applied to the skin.
  • Tightens, tones, & firms
  • Minimizes cellulite appearance
  • Improves skin texture & tightness
  • Mess-free and simple to use
  • Results in as little as 45 minutes
  • Progressive results over 72 hours
  • Made with natural ingredients

Let's start the review & check out how this product works!

This is how the product looks once you receive yours in the mail. Very light weight and smells so relaxing. The scent of this product reminds of The Bath & Body Works "sleep" spray - very soothing!

Here it shows you all the places on your body you are able to use it on!
You can only use this applicator one time - & if you would like to use it on your legs all you have to do is cut the wrap down the middle!

Pretty simple huh?

Now for the most important part ....

What supplies will you need to start this process?
& don't worry all these things you will probably have around the house..

-measuring tape
-sharpie
-clear wrap
-scissors
-music (I had music playing during this whole process so the time wouldn't feel like it was going by so slow :) )
-LOTS OF WATER

Once you open up your applicator you will instantly smell the soothing scent, don't worry it's not strong at all :)

Also, another thing - have someone help you 'wrap' you up. I had the fiance help me out on that part.

What should you wear?
Well, to be honest I just had my bra on and walked all over the house with just the wrap on and my bra..You can put a shirt over it if you would like but if you are in the comfort of your home might as well be extra comfy since the wrap goes on pretty tight.

What should you do before you apply the applicator?
-Measure yourself! You are supposed to measure 6 inches above your belly button, right on your belly button, and then 6 inches below. While measuring take your sharpie marker and mark on both sides where the measuring tape is that way you will know exactly where to put your measuring tape once you are ready to measure the 'after' part !

Once you open the applicator and figure out what part of your body you would like to use it on slowly place it on your body ( it will be pretty cold ! ) and once you have the wrap on...grab the clear wrap and start wrapping up! I chose to do my stomach. So I stood there with my hands up in the air and Carven was slowly wrapping me up pretty tight.

And then once you are all wrapped up - start drinking your water!
It's really important to drink as much water as you can during this process since you are wrapped pretty tight you don't want to start feeling light headed. Drinking lots of water will help you release all the toxins your stomach as while your wrap is on. You'll leave the wrap on for 45 mins, or longer if you'd like, BUT 45 mins was more than enough for me since we wrapped it pretty tight lol.

While my wrap was on I was just organizing things around the house while drinking my water and the time went by really fast.

Once it was time to take it off (I was so excited)  it was time to take it off !

I got my measuring tape and found the sharpie marks on my body and started measuring again, in total I lost 6 inches :) I was very impressed! You honestly DO see a difference not only in inches but the way your stomach feels - it instantly felt more tight. Even before bed I was just touching my stomach thinking "okay, how did that really work!?!?" lol. All in all, I loved it. It made me a believer!

If you are interested in trying out the famous 'It Works' wrap you must contact my fab cousin, Ashley Balboa at Abalboa12@yahoo.com she will inform you on prices and everything else you need to know & check out her site Ashley's Site.

If you have any other questions or concern feel free to contact Ashley at any time and she will get back to you as soon as she can!

If you were skeptical about these wraps before like how I was I highly recommend you trying them out! What I really like is that you are able to try just ONE wrap alone if you like and once you try it out and really like it you can go back and buy the package!

Also, these wraps work well according to your lifestyle. If you are active and watch what you eat you will see even greater results! Hope you girls give it a try and let me know if you decide to try it out, promise you won't be disappointed!

Until next time lovelies!

June IPSY bag, love love love it.

hello lovelies!

So, this has been my 2nd bag from Ipsy - and I'm still pretty happy with all the products I have been getting! Scratch that, I really LOVE them. I've seen tons of other subscriptions and most of the time you get those little samples that they give you at Sephora which aren't THAT exciting to get - with Ipsy I love that you actually get full size products that you can actually use, instead of a one time use.

& a thumbs up to Ipsy for providing good quality bags! I was hesitant at first, wondering if the little bags would feel durable and they really do. Last week I went out of town and I used last months Ipsy bag for all my bobby bins & hair ties. It's always good to have these little bags around the house - for traveling, mini makeup bag, 'that time of the month' stuff, hair stuff.. etc

Now, let's see the products I got for the month of June, I waited till now to write this blog post because I've actually been trying out the products!

I lovee the bag, it has a summer feel to it..

& here are the 5 full size products I got ! I was a happy camper.

J. Cat's Beauty Product.
Sparking Cream Palette
I actually like these type of products (glitter shadow) for Halloween looks or certain makeup looks I do. I'm not a huge glitter eyeshadow person BUT as a makeup artist it's always good to have this in your collection because you really can do tons of looks with cream glitter! I did a swatch on my forearm for a photos and I was impressed by how long it took it take off - I had to really scrub it off, which is good, it shows the product isn't cheap.

Chella - Ivory Highlighting Pencil

I've used this quite a few times already - I use this highlighter under my eyebrow. This pencil isn't good to highlight your cheeks - because I did try it out to see and NOPE. Just good for under your brow bone OR the corner of your eye. This pencil is actually in my makeup now, so you know I'm liking it.

Starlooks Lip Pencil in 'Tickle Me Pink'

I've already been using this product also! I love love pink lips and I've worn it a couple of times and I really liked it. You can even wear it alone on your lips if you want the matte look. I've used it under MAC Candy Yum Yum and it looked really pretty. I've never used this brand before but so far - I'm liking it.

Here is a swatch of the lip pencil & the highlighter pencil.

Cailyn Gel Liner

This is actually a really cool product. I tried it out a couple of days ago to see how long it would last and it lasted pretty well throughout the day. There is actually a built in brush on top and the gel liner is at the bottom...instead of some products when you have a separate pencil and separate gel liner.

On the box it has little tips for you which I thought was pretty nice of the company to do that.

Here is a swatch of the Gel Liner - it glides on so smooth!

NYX Cream Brush in BOHO CHIC

I was never a huge fan of cream blush till I really started experimenting with it and trying to see the difference of regular blush. I've been using cream blush a lot during the summer since it's so light weight and doesn't seem 'too much' for the hot summer days! At night time however, I go to my regular blush. I've used this NYX blush a lot during June and really liked the 'glow' it gave to my cheeks. Super light weight and so easy to apply - you can use your fingers to apply a cream blush OR a stipple brush.

Are there any subscription boxes you girls LOVE that I don't know about?
Leave me your comments down below, I'd loveeee to check out what else is out there :)

Also, I'll be having another GIVEAWAY soon,
Be on the look out :)

Hope you girls are having a beautiful day!

Love.
