June IPSY bag, love love love it.

hello lovelies!

So, this has been my 2nd bag from Ipsy - and I'm still pretty happy with all the products I have been getting! Scratch that, I really LOVE them. I've seen tons of other subscriptions and most of the time you get those little samples that they give you at Sephora which aren't THAT exciting to get - with Ipsy I love that you actually get full size products that you can actually use, instead of a one time use.

& a thumbs up to Ipsy for providing good quality bags! I was hesitant at first, wondering if the little bags would feel durable and they really do. Last week I went out of town and I used last months Ipsy bag for all my bobby bins & hair ties. It's always good to have these little bags around the house - for traveling, mini makeup bag, 'that time of the month' stuff, hair stuff.. etc

Now, let's see the products I got for the month of June, I waited till now to write this blog post because I've actually been trying out the products!

I lovee the bag, it has a summer feel to it..

& here are the 5 full size products I got ! I was a happy camper.

J. Cat's Beauty Product.
Sparking Cream Palette
I actually like these type of products (glitter shadow) for Halloween looks or certain makeup looks I do. I'm not a huge glitter eyeshadow person BUT as a makeup artist it's always good to have this in your collection because you really can do tons of looks with cream glitter! I did a swatch on my forearm for a photos and I was impressed by how long it took it take off - I had to really scrub it off, which is good, it shows the product isn't cheap.

Chella - Ivory Highlighting Pencil

I've used this quite a few times already - I use this highlighter under my eyebrow. This pencil isn't good to highlight your cheeks - because I did try it out to see and NOPE. Just good for under your brow bone OR the corner of your eye. This pencil is actually in my makeup now, so you know I'm liking it.

Starlooks Lip Pencil in 'Tickle Me Pink'

I've already been using this product also! I love love pink lips and I've worn it a couple of times and I really liked it. You can even wear it alone on your lips if you want the matte look. I've used it under MAC Candy Yum Yum and it looked really pretty. I've never used this brand before but so far - I'm liking it.

Here is a swatch of the lip pencil & the highlighter pencil.

Cailyn Gel Liner

This is actually a really cool product. I tried it out a couple of days ago to see how long it would last and it lasted pretty well throughout the day. There is actually a built in brush on top and the gel liner is at the bottom...instead of some products when you have a separate pencil and separate gel liner.

On the box it has little tips for you which I thought was pretty nice of the company to do that.

Here is a swatch of the Gel Liner - it glides on so smooth!

NYX Cream Brush in BOHO CHIC

I was never a huge fan of cream blush till I really started experimenting with it and trying to see the difference of regular blush. I've been using cream blush a lot during the summer since it's so light weight and doesn't seem 'too much' for the hot summer days! At night time however, I go to my regular blush. I've used this NYX blush a lot during June and really liked the 'glow' it gave to my cheeks. Super light weight and so easy to apply - you can use your fingers to apply a cream blush OR a stipple brush.

Are there any subscription boxes you girls LOVE that I don't know about?
Leave me your comments down below, I'd loveeee to check out what else is out there :)

Also, I'll be having another GIVEAWAY soon,
Be on the look out :)

Hope you girls are having a beautiful day!

Gel Manicure of the week + nail tips!

Hello my beauties!
How is everyones week going by so far? Wonderful I hope! :)

To start off this new week - I just got another fabulous gel manicure at the Spa this past Monday! I must admit - I have become obsessed with Gel Manicures! The long lasting color, continuous shine, no chipping, no worries manicure has won my heart over. Especially for busy little ladies like myself - not having to worry about the nails looking great is the best !

Do you prefer getting your nails done or do you love the 'at home' feeling of doing them yourself ?

Here is a little glimpse of the color we picked this week & we added a little glitter for a statement look on my ring finger!

This shade is called 'It's a Lilly'
It's a very light pink shade, almost more of a nude pinkish color that I really like. Although in the photo below it looks more bright (it was just the lighting) that made it look more hot pink!

& here is the finished look! We added some glitter on my ring finger for that little pop of "Oh!"

These pictures don't show the true colors (ahhhh) The shade isn't too pinkish like I mentioned earlier, BUT you get the idea :)

A new thing we did to my nails as well : trim them down!

My nails grow so fast ! So fast that majority of the time people think my nails are fake, lol.
Well, they had grown so much that it started to hurt my eyes when I had to take off my contacts at night and I would basically stab my eye with my nails, lol. That's when you know it's time to trim those babies down! So that's what we did! :)

A few nail tips for all my beauties:::

~ To keep your nails strong..trim them, push back your cuticles,  and don't bite them.

~ Keep your nails looking healthy by applying hand cream every single morning/night to your nails. Also, coconut oil does WONDERS for your nails! Rub coconut oil into your cuticles and massage throughout your nails.

~If you paint your nails at home - apply a top coat every 3 days over your nails to prevent chipping!

~Wear rubber gloves anytime you wash the dishes (lol) wifey tip! ha. Anytime I do the dishes I don't do them without wearing my cute pink gloves to keep my nails/polish safe! :)

~Apply a nail strengthener before you apply your polish to keep your nails strong throughout the week! Even if you decide to not wear polish throughout the month, always wear a nail strengthener! It's a clear coat that adds shine so even without polish on - your nails will automatically look healthy :)
(OPI Nail Envy is my favorite)

Do you have any favorite tips to keep your nails healthy?
Feel free to leave in a comment below and I will share it on my next nail post ! :)

Hope you girls have a beautiful week.
Love.

1st of all, a huge thank you to my readers who participated in my Giveaway which was sponsored by Zinio Magazine! I  hope you guys enjoy your free magazine subscription!

Now for some beauty talk,

- $10 monthly subscription that you can cancel anytime you want
- you receive a different Glam Bag a month with deluxe samples and full sized beauty products!
-You get to choose which products you would enjoy more: hair, lips, nails, etc.

I've seen many other monthly subscriptions & was never really excited to subscribe but after seeing/reading a lot about Ipsy, I thought - let's try it ! So I subscribed and got my very first bag AND...I really love it ! So I'll probably be sticking with this and share all my bags with you girls! for $10  month I thought 'why not?' and I'm impressed with everything!

So let's take a look on exactly what I got in my bag!
yay!

So, first of all.. I love the hot pink packaging it came in ! Everything was packed very nice and you can tell they actually took the time to wrap the products to protect them! Another thing, I really liked that you get plenty of emails from them letting you know your payment process, when you should be receiving it, your tracking number, and the products you'll be getting ! Each bag will get a few of the same things but certain bags will get different products depending on which products you like more on the little quiz they give you once you become a member! It was like receiving a little Christmas gift not knowing what exactly you're getting! As soon as I opened up the bag I thought..'Yup! I'm keeping this subscription!"

little things..

& these are the products I got in my Glam Bag! Love them all, very happy with my bag for the month~

This is the little bag that all your goodies come in! The size is perfect, it's pretty much the size of my hand, and I love love love having extra little bags like these because they are perfect for traveling! Or you can keep the bag in your purse and keep bobby pins or even some makeup! These are also really good to keep things organized in your bedroom or closet.

& now for the products !

ZOYA Nail Polish in Julie.
Lavender shade with some shimmer. (Price $8)

Mirabella lipstick in DAYDREAM. (Price $22)
Pretty pink shade.

Pacifica Roll On Perfume in Gardenia. (Price $8.50)
These are perfect to keep in your purse for a quick spray every once in a while because no one likes to smell bad..lol. This actually smells soooo good! Reminds me of beach weather..

Sample size of a concealer in the shade Honey, after playing around with it - it was pretty good coverage!

You also get these little coupons just for being a member! And I don't know about you girls, but I love coupons!

& last but not least a full size NUME finishing serum! I love love love this! This conditions and seals your hair once you are done styling! There is actually a lot of product in this container! You can also keep this in your purse for touch ups throughout the day!

All in all : Really liked my Glam Bag and will keep my subscription! At first I thought well if it isn't worth it I will just cancel it but after getting my first bag I love it.  For $10 a month you can't beat it and regular price for all these items separately would be over $50 in total ! MAC Riri Woo, Limited Edition Lipstick.

Hello my beauties,
SO, the other day Mr. Mailman dropped off a beautiful package just for me. The New Rihanna Riri Woo lipstick by the fabulous MAC.

One word: Gorgeous.

Can you believe this lipstick SOLD OUT in 3 hours after going up for sale! The next shipment for these won't be until June! Mark your calendars ladies! :)

I absolutely love the detail on the lipstick of her autograph, and if you know me well enough you know details are everything to me, here are some up close photos of the gorgeous shade!

A little tip on how to always make sure you get the limited edition lipsticks from MAC.
*Buy online! It's much easier to sign online and hit "add to bag" rather than trying to beat the MAC lovers at the counter of your mall. Also, if you are a lipstick freak like myself and love love love to collect the limited edition lipsticks from MAC - set your alarm on your phone lol. Yes, sounds crazy but if it wasn't for my little reminder right at 12pm I probably would have forgotten! haha. Carven thought it was crazy and cute at the same time that I set my alarm just to buy it! Oh, to be a girl.

A little FYI: The rest of the Rihanna MAC collection will launch in four seasonal collections over the coming year! Including eyeshadow palettes, lashes, and brushes! Amazing. I will be getting them all minus the lashes since I never use them. There's just something about a new collection that comes out that I have to get it all.

Here is a swatch up close up this shade; the perfect Red.

All our dreams can come true...if we have the courage to pursue them

Dream big, always.

One of the most beautiful feelings in the world is knowing you have big dreams for your life and you want each and every one of them to come true, the beauty of that - you can make them all happen.
Each of us is born with a talent - every one of us. Some take full advantage of their talent and show the world what they are capable of doing, others are afraid what the world may think. The most important thing - is realizing you are worth it and your talents are a gift for you to explore and show your true colors. One of my favorite quotes that I like to live by is "Live the life you have always imagined" I see that in my office room every time I get ready for another day. It makes me smile to read that and know I have some big dreams in my life - some that are already happening for me, some that have happened to me, and some that are YET to happen for me. It's such a beautiful thought knowing some of the best things in your life have yet to happen! Life is too short to be anything but happy & life is too short to be afraid to go after your dreams. Live a life you are proud of so one day you can look back on your life with a huge smile...& that is exactly what I plan to do :)

Go out there & live the life YOU have always imagined.
You won't regret it.

Until next time lovelies,
Natasha Marie

Gel Manicure of the week & tips for healthy nails!

Gel Manicure of the week ! :)
Can you tell I'm a nail polish junkie? I love having them painted, it's a MUST. It's my 'me time' :)
I've been letting my nails grow out a bit & thankfully no breaking or chipped nails! I'll have some tips on how to keep your nails staying strong at the end of this post ! One thing I love to do with my nails - file them to a square shape; it makes your nails look much longer! :)

This week we went with a hot pink shade called : PASSION

6 easy tips on how to keep your nails strong & healthy !

1.) Keep your nails hydrated at all times! Rub a bit of Vaseline or your favorite moisturizer with Vitamin E on your cuticles in the mornings and in the evenings! I do both, every single day! Your nails look 50% more healthy JUST by doing this!

2.) Try not to file your nails right after you shower. They are much weaker and more likely to break. Always file in ONE direction instead of back and forth. This can weaken your nails! Go slowly when you file your nails, the harder you go the less likely you are able to achieve the look you want for your nails!

3.) Apply a layer of topcoat (any brand will do - OPI, Essie, Sally Hansen etc) every 1 to 2 days to help keep the length of your manicure! AND it will help your nails from chipping through out the week!

4.) Always always always wear gloves when washing dishes! (I never wash the dishes without my cute pink gloves on! lol) It can be very harsh on your nails and cuticles, causing them to become dry, brittle and discolored.

5.) Pick a day of the week to give your nails some love: cuticle care, cuticle cream, file etc These little steps once a week really does wonders for your nails!

6.) Avoid biting your nails and cuticles - this can cause infection! (and doesn't look so nice!)

Until next time girls; keep your nails painted !

Life lessons.

Life fascinates me, I can talk about it for hours and hours at a time and never get tired of it. It's a beautiful thing to watch someone see life as a gift while it's heart breaking to see people take life for granted on a daily basis. The things we take for granted, others are praying for. Simple things such as having a beautiful home, a car to get around in, air condition, a fridge full of food, wallet with extra money to spend, a phone to play around on all day, college books to pay for, clothes to last a life time are just a few things that we are blessed with while others are praying for it all. Life is such a blessing, it amazes me. Every single day I am a little more thankful. A grateful heart always stays young. It's scary to know - you just never know when your last day can be or the life of your loved ones. Probably the #1 thing that terrifies me, never knowing what could happen from one day to the next to you or your loved ones...which is why my heart is full of gratitude daily and I love life more every single day without question. I came across a list of 42 beautiful lessons about life that I absolutely loved and wanted to share with you girls!!

Read. Enjoy. And always remember these on a daily basis.
Life IS truly a gift, embrace it.
Live it and love it.

 1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short – enjoy it..

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. Save for retirement starting with your first pay check.

9. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

10. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

11. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it...

14 Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

15. Get rid of anything that isn't useful. Clutter weighs you down in many ways.

16. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

17. It's never too late to be happy. But it’s all up to you and no one else.

18. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

22. The most important sex organ is the brain.

23. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

24. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'

25. Always choose life.

26. Forgive but don’t forget.

27. What other people think of you is none of your business.

28. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

29. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

30. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does..

31. Believe in miracles.

32. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

33. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.

34. Your children get only one childhood.

35. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

36. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

37. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

38. Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have not what you need.

39. The best is yet to come...

40. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

41. Yield.

42. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.
