Beauty Favorites of The Month

Hello beauties!
How in the world is it November already?! Wow! It is mind blowing how quickly the year passes us by. As cliche as it sounds, I love the start of a brand new month, I love changing the page of my planner to view all the exciting events, appointments, and birthdays I have coming up!

Every month, I tend to attach myself to new & old beauty products! As a Makeup Artist, you can only imagine the amount of beauty products I have. Whether I have purchased them myself, they've been sent to me from sponsors and companies, or they've been gifts..I have a lot. Sometimes I like to "shop my collection" and to be honest, I'll discover new products I haven't had a chance to play with and I'll fall in love with them! Which is where the inspiration for this post came to mind! After realizing I've added a few new/old products to my favorites - I knew I wanted to share it with you guys, my fellow beauty lovers! And what better time to share than the beginning of a new month! For the month of October these products have been on my "winning" list!

Let's get started!

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub $9.95

Sometimes lip balms just don't do the trick to help smooth out your lips, and dry lips are my pet peeve. Which is why I loveee this Bubblegum Lip Scrub! Now, I know this has been around for a while, but I finally got my hands on it. Not only does it smell & taste amazing, it really gets the job done! Yes, I said taste. You can actually just lick it off your lips once you're done slowly scrubbing this back and forth on your lips! It's not too harsh too, so you can use it everyday if you wanted too! I absolutely love this stuff, your lips get the full on exfoliating treatment. Another plus, a little goes a long way. You don't need a huge amount either, just rub your finger in the jar and lather it on your lips! After you're done, glide on your favorite lip balm and you got fresh and soft lips!

Le Volume De Chanel Mascara $32

You've heard me rave about this baby for months! With so many new mascaras coming out (and me wanting to try them all!) I always end up running back to my trusted Chanel. It never fails. The volume I get with this mascara is great! Many would say $32 is nuts for a mascara, but if you add up how much we spend on drug store - it's sometimes better to invest in one great one you know does the job. This mascara comes with a "Snowflakes" brush that helps combine long and short bristles for an eye opening effect. I also love that this mascara never leaves my lashes looking clumpy or have that "spider leg" effect.

Dove Dry Shampoo $3.94 (prices vary at stores)

Every woman needs a good dry shampoo for 2nd day hair! Plus, oily hair is a no no. I've tried so many different brands, and I've really liked this one! Everyones hair reacts differently to dry shampoos, so I'd recommend trying out a few to see what works for you. I've heard good and bad reviews over this product, but for my hair it does the job. Not only does it remove the oily residue from next day hair, but I really love the fresh and clean scent that actually lasts. The scent isn't strong or overpowering too. It's a winner for me :)

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Sultry 225 $6.89 (prices vary at drug stores)

This Matte Balm is one of the products I found in my collection that I have been loving! First of all, the pigmentation is excellent! You don't need to go over and over your lips to achieve great color, one good application and you're good to go! You can definitely build up the color as you wish :) This lip balm is very creamy and leaves your lips feeling very moisturized, which I love because products that are similar usually dry up your lips and leave you with that patchy feeling. Sultry is a beautiful berry shade, great for the Fall months!

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer $25

Now I know why this won the Best of Beauty Award for Allure Magazine! Wow, I am in love with this concealer. I absolutely love how creamy it is and the full coverage you achieve when you apply it correctly. Not only does it cover up your dark circles, but it also brightens up your under eyes as well! Makes you look like you got 8 full hours of sleep when your probably only got 4! This concealer is also waterproof, and helps with the improvement of your skins texture and tone. I use this product with my holy grail damp beauty blender and it leaves your under eyes flawless!! I'd highly recommend this!

  1. LOVE the post, as always! I'm working on a beauty post... in my 20's I was always mistaken for being in my 30's, and now that I'm in my 30's, I'm being mistaken for early-to-mid 20's!!! I figure I must be doing something right, time to share it with the world!!! *wink*grin*

    2. Hola! So - I forgot to click "notify me" when you reply... *doh* There's some domain issues, so my previously discussed post hasn't been posted yet... but I'm working on it! Gotta love technology... :-) BTW - Got the Revlon lip stain, and it's TOTALLY bright on me, but I'm a ginger, so that doesn't surprise me.... Happy Almost New Year!
