My New York Outfits of The Day

Hello, hello, lovelies!

I'm stoked about this blog post! My husband & I just got back from a little getaway to the city that never sleeps..New York City! NY is stunning, we fell in love with the big city. We took advantage of every minute we were there & explored as much as we can!

...doing everything we can to see all of NY actually inspired me for this blog post! I knew we were going to be doing tons of walking & sightseeing and we prepared ourselves by packing extra comfy clothes that are light weight and made sure we brought some really comfy shoes as well! And we're glad we did, because we were out hours at a time & on our feet all day, it was so so worth it.

I thought I'd share some of my "NY street fashion" outfits. The outdoor beauty over there is so inspiring, it makes you want to jump in front of the camera for blog photos~ & that's exactly what we did.

The Boyfriend Jeans. The most comfy pair of jeans I packed.
I purchased these from Zara.com but you can basically find them everywhere! These are by far, the most comfy, yet stylish pair of jeans I have. If you're into these types of jeans, you can easily pair them with a plain T, some accessories, cute shoes and out the door you go.

One day I styled these jeans with a plain white V neck, a navy sleeveless blazer, and my most comfy faux leather slip on shoes. I packed 'the little red purse' to be the pop of color for the week.

Dresses are the easiest clothing item you can dress up or dress down on vacation.
One day, I wore this fun burnt orange dress (sadly, we didn't get any other photos that day of this lol)
I added a fedora hat just for fun and a belt to cinch up my waist since this dress was a little loose on me.

Summer time is still here & strapless tops are always light weight & keep you cool for eventful days~

First of all, how cool is this background?! Graffiti walls are huge in NY! You can just stand there & stare at them for hours!

This is one my favorites. I purchased this from Nasty Gal a while back but it is still dear to my heart! I love how light weight the material is! My trusty fedora hat (that never flies off - except that one time when we were near the metro) and that simple braid was how I styled that blouse. I wore another pair of extra comfy jeans....& those shoes I'm wearing..those aren't mine, they're my husbands! Yup, you read that right. I felt like wearing sneakers that day since I was living in my slip ones and flats, so I worked with what I had and stole his shoes, lol.

Jersey pants are my go to when "comfortable outfits" are on my mind (perfect for travel!)

I purchased these fun pants from H&M! I've styled them in so many different ways, which makes me love these pants even more. For this trip, I paired them with a simple white blouse that I tucked in. I added a fun necklace & my trusted slip on shoes were my choice for that day.

Coming home outfit = grab a long sleeve you can tie around your waist...
When it comes to traveling back home, you're in and out of the airport with possible delays & siting for hours. You want to make sure you feel comfortable with what you're wearing. Flights are usually cold, and I like to put on a cardigan or light jacket I may have. This time, I used a light weight flannel I added to my outfit and it was my blanket for the trip home. Simple & useful!

Kudos to my supportive & wonderful husband for helping me create these photos for this post! He is always the photographer behind any of my blog post photos. I adore him & appreciate this man more than he'll ever know! His support for everything I do is a feeling I will never be able to explain in words...

Cheers to you, NY. Thank you for opening up our eyes to another memorable trip we'll never forget.

I hope you all enjoyed this post, I'll see you in my next one!

My favorite Face & Eyeshadow Primer

Hello, darlings!

As I was doing my makeup yesterday..I had a moment of "I love how this primer feels!" which inspired me for this blog post! Today, I'll be going over my favorite face & eyeshadow primer! How much they are & where you can find them! After countless trial & errors of trying out so many different products, I've personally found the two I love!

Not only do I use it on myself, but I use them on my clients as well...& they seem to love how it feels, too!  :)

Let's get started shall we?

Face Primer

Lancome La Base Pro
'Perfecting Makeup Primer Soothing Effect - Oil Free'

If you're a client or friend of mine you know this is my go-to primer for the face! This primer glides on sooo smoothly over the face without leaving you with that greasy aftermath! A little goes a long way too, so there is no need to smother your face with it. I love how it instantly leaves your skin looking and feeling so smooth. It also helps to reduce any fine lines - umm yes please! It's actually Lancomes #1 primer...ya don't say! :)  Once applied on the face, it leaves the perfect canvas to start you makeup & keeps it on point for hours! This primer also works great with all skin tones~ You guys have to try it, they also offer travel sizes - a great way to try it out before buying the full size!

How much is it?
$42
This primer has always lasted me a couple of months, so for me, it's worth the splurge~

Where can you find it?
If you're from the RGV you can find this at Dillards, Sephora, Macys, and ULTA. If you don't have these stores near you, online is the best option: Lancome-USA.com or Sephora & Ulta websites.

Eye Primer

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Anti Aging

I've always been a huge fan* of Urban Decay primers! When I found out they now have an anti aging product with the new brush applicator - I needed it. ( Never a need, always a want, but you know what I mean lol )

This 24 hour wear primer is the perfect way to not only intensify eye shadows, but also prevents creasing! No one likes a creased eye shadow look! Some eyeshadow primers I have used in the past have left a very dry feel on my lids, which led to blending not being the easiest task. This primer on the other hand, leaves a very smooth finish that allows shadows to glide on easily!

How much is it?
0.16 oz $13
0.33 oz $24

Where can you find it?

Sephora, ULTA, Urban Decay.com

Do you have a favorite go-to primer? Let me know your thoughts on your favorites down below!

Thanks for reading guys, I'll see you in my next blog post!

How To Keep Your Lip Glosses Organized

Hello, lovelies! Today is about organization! Keeping our home & especially my office clean and organized gives me life! I love knowing where things are, I love everything having its own home, and I love to be able to see everything.

Being a Makeup Artist & Blogger, I tend to have TONS of beauty products! I try to keep everything as organized as possible, but I'm human, and things can get a bit out of control.

One thing that was definitely getting out of control were my lip glosses. I have an embarrassing, yet beautiful collection of lip glosses! ha! I keep most of my lip glosses in my clear cube & then I have some in my desk drawers....but there's always those few that I grab on the daily basis & use during makeup appointments. I wanted something I can keep on my desk for easy access to ones I usually grab first. At the magical Marshalls, yes, Marshalls is magical! I found the perfect lip gloss holder, for only $2.99 might I add~

This glass jar is perfect. It fits a good amount of products & makes everything look so organized & clean!

I like to keep my glosses facing down, that way I can see the colors easily!

It now has its very own home on my desk. No more pulling out my drawers searching for my go to glosses/lip stick pencils & no more stuffing them into my clear cube. You can easily pick up a few of these to store more, but one was perfect for me since I knew I wanted it to hold just a few products. I try to keep my desk simple & organized (thank goodness for the clear cube - that baby holds the majority of my products)

Look how neat & organized it looks~ Ah, pure joy!

How do you guys keep some of your go to products organized? I would loveee to see! Post them in a comment down below if you like.

Thanks for reading, everyone! I hope this post inspired you in some way on how to keep some of your beauty products organized & neat! I'll see you in my next blog post!

PC Lace Grand Opening Event

Well, hello there, ladies!
& Happy Thursday!

How is everyone's Summer going?! I hope you're wearing your sunscreen!

I'm so excited for today's post! Brownsville now has it's first Wedding Dress store, PC Lace. PC Lace offers fabulous dresses for all occasions!

& the most thrilling part of this all?

I had the wonderful opportunity to be apart of their Grand Opening party! (*screams of excitement*)

Deborah Portillo, City Commissioner & Owner of PC Chic & PC Lace reached out to me with welcome arms to be apart of this wonderful event & without any hesitation ~ I accepted!

Take a sneak peek inside! I absolutely love all the details. It makes you feel like you're in a NYC Boutique!

You guys do not understand the excitement I had running in my body, legit chills! It made me have a moment, a "wow! this is happening! My hard work keeps paying off!" & that is hands down, an incredible moment to have with yourself! It's all worth it when you get these types of opportunities!

While at the event, I was offering "5 minute touch ups" to all guests who attended! I had my updated portfolio & business cards ready to go! It was so much fun, I was able to network & meet so many lovely Bride to Be's!

This was my vendor table! :)

That morning, I had a makeup party in my home office - no, really! I had all the models over to get them all glammed up! They looked gorgeous! I did a soft makeup look since they would be modeling wedding dresses to all the guests! These girls were so much fun to work with!

This event wouldn't have been as exciting as it was if it wasn't for the support of my husband, girlfriends, and family. You truly find out who is genuine in your life when big things happen - you feel the energy of people. When you have people rooting you on & saying how proud they are of you, it makes it that much special to me. I'm grateful to have the support system I have.

My hero & my rock. My husband. He arrived early with me to help set up & take photos for this blog post. I never in a million years thought I would be married to such a supportive man. Without any hesitation he is there, right there, to help me with everything I need in between. To hear your husband say "I'm so proud of you baby!" can literally make me cry! lol. I'm thankful for him, every single day.

Sometimes, when you least expect it, opportunities come your way. The only thing you can do when doors open, is take it. No matter how nervous you are, you take it and run with it - because there's always something to learn with every opportunity that comes your way! And if it means setting your alarm @ 4:30am to get yourself ready for a 16 hour day, you do it. I've learned so much on this journey. When you work hard, you get rewarded. I'm a firm believer on that! Women these days are so powerful, I strive for that. Taking charge and making your life dream come alive take lots of trial & error, late nights, and a positive attitude.

This event has inspired me in so many ways - it gave me that inspiration to work that much harder for myself!

& I am.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post & enjoyed a little viewing of the Grand Opening Party for PC Lace!

I'll see you in my next post,
