Makeup Of The Day

Hi Darlings!

How is everyones month of November going?!?! Great, I hope! I've been booking non stop makeup appointments, what a blessing! The more clients I work with, the more I fall in love with what I do! It's seriously such a wonderful feeling to wake up and do what you loveeee! The passion keeps the fire alive.

Fall makeup looks are by far my favorite! I wanted to share with you yesterdays makeup look + the product breakdown! I love a good smokey eye, and a smokey eye doesn't always have to consist of just black...I love adding some color! I wanted to go with a forest green look, something out of the ordinary. After going through my makeup palettes, I found the perfect shade of green that caught my attention in my Lorac Pro Palette 2!

The Lorac Pro Palette 2 has been my go to lately for Fall looks & Bridal appointments! The shade Jade was my inspiration for this look.

  • Transition Shade: Lt Brown
  • Eyelid: Jade
  • Eyebrow Highlight: Buff
  • Outer Eyelid: Black
  • Mascara: Le Volume De Chanel
  • Liquid Liner: Loreal Lineur Intense Brush Tip Eyeliner in Carbon

  • Applied with damp beauty blender

Contour
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

  • Lipliner: Lancome Le Lipstique in Amandelle

FYI, this was my very first time using this Kat Von D liquid lipstick, I was so impressed with the quality & the full coverage I got with just a few strokes on my lips! It lasted for hours, which was a huge plus! This liquid lipstick is a matte finish, and I loved that my lips didn't have that terrible dried out feel. I seriously want to go buy every shade now!!

I hope you guys enjoyed yesterdays make up look + the product breakdown! Let me know if you guys would like more of these blog posts and I'll make sure to keep them coming!
Thanks for stopping by! I'll see you in my next post!

Beauty Favorites of The Month

Hello beauties!
How in the world is it November already?! Wow! It is mind blowing how quickly the year passes us by. As cliche as it sounds, I love the start of a brand new month, I love changing the page of my planner to view all the exciting events, appointments, and birthdays I have coming up!

Every month, I tend to attach myself to new & old beauty products! As a Makeup Artist, you can only imagine the amount of beauty products I have. Whether I have purchased them myself, they've been sent to me from sponsors and companies, or they've been gifts..I have a lot. Sometimes I like to "shop my collection" and to be honest, I'll discover new products I haven't had a chance to play with and I'll fall in love with them! Which is where the inspiration for this post came to mind! After realizing I've added a few new/old products to my favorites - I knew I wanted to share it with you guys, my fellow beauty lovers! And what better time to share than the beginning of a new month! For the month of October these products have been on my "winning" list!

Let's get started!

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub $9.95

Sometimes lip balms just don't do the trick to help smooth out your lips, and dry lips are my pet peeve. Which is why I loveee this Bubblegum Lip Scrub! Now, I know this has been around for a while, but I finally got my hands on it. Not only does it smell & taste amazing, it really gets the job done! Yes, I said taste. You can actually just lick it off your lips once you're done slowly scrubbing this back and forth on your lips! It's not too harsh too, so you can use it everyday if you wanted too! I absolutely love this stuff, your lips get the full on exfoliating treatment. Another plus, a little goes a long way. You don't need a huge amount either, just rub your finger in the jar and lather it on your lips! After you're done, glide on your favorite lip balm and you got fresh and soft lips!

Le Volume De Chanel Mascara $32

You've heard me rave about this baby for months! With so many new mascaras coming out (and me wanting to try them all!) I always end up running back to my trusted Chanel. It never fails. The volume I get with this mascara is great! Many would say $32 is nuts for a mascara, but if you add up how much we spend on drug store - it's sometimes better to invest in one great one you know does the job. This mascara comes with a "Snowflakes" brush that helps combine long and short bristles for an eye opening effect. I also love that this mascara never leaves my lashes looking clumpy or have that "spider leg" effect.

Dove Dry Shampoo $3.94 (prices vary at stores)

Every woman needs a good dry shampoo for 2nd day hair! Plus, oily hair is a no no. I've tried so many different brands, and I've really liked this one! Everyones hair reacts differently to dry shampoos, so I'd recommend trying out a few to see what works for you. I've heard good and bad reviews over this product, but for my hair it does the job. Not only does it remove the oily residue from next day hair, but I really love the fresh and clean scent that actually lasts. The scent isn't strong or overpowering too. It's a winner for me :)

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Sultry 225 $6.89 (prices vary at drug stores)

This Matte Balm is one of the products I found in my collection that I have been loving! First of all, the pigmentation is excellent! You don't need to go over and over your lips to achieve great color, one good application and you're good to go! You can definitely build up the color as you wish :) This lip balm is very creamy and leaves your lips feeling very moisturized, which I love because products that are similar usually dry up your lips and leave you with that patchy feeling. Sultry is a beautiful berry shade, great for the Fall months!

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer $25

Now I know why this won the Best of Beauty Award for Allure Magazine! Wow, I am in love with this concealer. I absolutely love how creamy it is and the full coverage you achieve when you apply it correctly. Not only does it cover up your dark circles, but it also brightens up your under eyes as well! Makes you look like you got 8 full hours of sleep when your probably only got 4! This concealer is also waterproof, and helps with the improvement of your skins texture and tone. I use this product with my holy grail damp beauty blender and it leaves your under eyes flawless!! I'd highly recommend this!

Any favorites you guys have this month?! Leave me a comment down below!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post over my favorites for the month!
I'll see you in my next blog post!

Empowering Each Other

Hello darlings! Happy Sunday! :)

How was everyones week? Mine was filled with Vegas. California. My husband. Our friends. & making memories that will last a lifetime! It was such a fun filled vacation! Just what we like :)

I truly love adventures in unfamiliar places! Don't you? :)

The one thing I love about my blog:
Getting inspired & sharing my thoughts with the world. Today, I was feeling extremely blessed &  grateful thinking of where I am in life & all that I have accomplished. My passion has truly turned into a business - with lots of hard work! But because of that hard work, it has led to a large clientele & with that comes: success.

Getting to share exciting news, show my before & afters on clients, previews of my latest photo session, and exciting sponsorships, would mean nothing if I had no one to share them with. Luckily, I have such a huge support system: my husband, my best friends, and my family.
- you guys too! (:

We all have that group of people we can text within seconds of finding out something exciting. Those people are the ones that have pushed and supported you from day one. I feel so blessed to not only have my husband + family, but I have my group of girls I can run to, no matter the time of day. They are right there - cheering me on! The same goes when the tables are turned. I love to see my friends succeed at whatever they may be working for, and when they get excited to share great news, I'm right there with my #1 fan sign!

& that's where my inspiration came from with this post.
Empowerment.

Encouraging each other is so meaningful! If the world had more people shouting out their talents rather than their faults - who knows what the world could be like...

Imagine the capability one would have it we took the time to recognize their hidden talents?

It seriously makes my heart happy when I see others promoting each other. It takes a lot for someone to be selfless and think of others and their talents! When I see an individual helping out someone by sharing their work, their name, their website: whatever the case may be..THAT is something beautiful. THAT is something I admire, and THAT is the reason I am always pushing & reminding others of their talents & what they CAN do and ACHIEVE with their life! When you're at a great place in life doing what you love, you can't help but feel on cloud 9. You want to share it with the world, you want to push everyone you possibly can, because you know that feeling is the most incredible feeling in the whole entire world.

If someone inspires you; tell them.
If someone is getting out of their comfort zone to do what they want; push them.
If someone is reaching out to you with an idea; listen to them.
If someone is doing great things with their life; congratulate them.

You never know what your words can do for a person. Your words can really uplift their spirits & you can be that push they've secretly been needing to hear!

I hope this inspired you, big or small :) I'll see you in my next post!

Grab your Backpacks, ladies!

Say YES to backpacks & GOODBYE to purses for your next trip!

Hello my lovelies! :) I've missed my blogging in pajamas & reading your comments from all over the world! It feels great to be back!

Todays topic: Backpacks vs Purses for your next trip!

Lately, the hubby & I have had the Travel Bug! We've been non stop making new memories and experiencing new adventures all over! Because of that, I've definitely learned what works well & what doesn't when it comes to travel! In the past times, I'd take a huge purse on our vacations - thinking "Perfect! Everything will fit in here!" but then after a few hours of exploring I'm like "Omg, I want to throw away this purse, my shoulders hurt, it's too big!" Other times, I have used the smallest side purse and after a while of shopping, taking pictures, and souvenirs I'm thinking: "Nothing fits in here!" You know how easy it is to just throw something in your purse? And little by little it starts adding up: your phone, keys, bottle of water, map (if you're out of the country) the list can easily add up!

So, after those little experiences I've come down to the easiest way to travel: stylish backpacks!

Yes, backpacks! For a while, all you would see were school backpacks & nowadays you can find some of the cutest backpacks with great designs, all leather, and even solid and fabric prints! I've seen some great bargain ones & high end backpacks that are absolutely perfect for your next trip!

I took my first backpack to our honeymoon in Paris!

It was life changing (real dramatic!) but really, it made everything that much easier! To have your hands FREE on vacation was the best! To not have your forearm killing you, to not have your shoulders bothering you, or the "hey babe hold my purse real fast while I take photos!" was the best feeling ever!

Backpacks are so versatile! I love that you can dress up any outfit in such a fun stylish way with them! And the plus side, you CAN fit quite a bit of items in there! But also, they have a good amount of space where you want to pack just the necessities!

This is my newest "travel" backpack designed by: Badgley Mischka. I'm in love with the quality! & I also love that it isn't too big! Because there are large backpacks out there, but the bigger you get it the more items you're going to want to stuff in there on your trip! So for me, this is the perfect size! It fits just the right amount for the necessities!

What do you prefer on your trip?
Happy Travels!

I'll see you in my next blog post! Tomorrow is vacation time & this little baby will be riding with us!

Rose Among Thorn Gel Manicure

Hello darlings!

Spring is officially here & bright colors + glitter are looking happy on my nails today!

Rosie did it yet again, left my nails looking & feeling healthy! Not to mention..fun and bright!

This week we went for 'Rose Among Thorn' this shade is stunning! It is such a vibrant hot pink shade! The bottle comes off as a reddish pink color, but once it's on your nails - it is more of a bright neon pink.

& of course, we had to add some glitter to my ring finger!

Ah, there's just something about having your nails done! Makes you feel more put together and adds that little touch to your daily outfits~

Look at that glitter ! *big smile*

Rosie always leaves me feeling so relaxed & comfortable! I adore her & admire her hard work. She works on each nail and aims for perfection!

What is one of your top go to shades for Spring?

That's all for today girls! I'm off to a weekend getaway with my husband! :)
Enjoy your weekend & make it a great one!
